ALBUMS

Jim orchestrated the songs “Symphony,” “You Have No Idea,” and “Run” on Josh Groban’s album, Bridges. Jim also orchestrated a fourth song for Josh called “Signs.”

The songs were recorded with The London Philharmonic at Air Lindhurst Studios.

Jim orchestrated and conducted for the recording of “Secrets” on Israel Houghton’s album, Road to DeMaskUs.

Kyle Cook (of Matchbox 20) tapped Jim to orchestrate and conduct the studio orchestra for a song called “Waiting On A Silver Lining.” The recording took place at the legendary Ocean Way Nashville recording studio.

Jim was also the orchestrator and conductor for William McDowell’s “The Cry,” recorded by Danny Duncan and produced by Clay Bogen.

Additionally, Jim orchestrated and conducted 2 studio charts for a 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network) gospel and hymns album produced by Danny Chambers and Kris Wilkinson.

He also orchestrated a song called Healing Running Through My Veins for artist Jeanette Bayardelle.

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PROJECTS

In January, Jim conducted THE DETROIT SYMPHONY in The Nashville Songbook with country artist Mandy Barnett.

In May, Jim travelled to Northern Ireland to again work with Mandy Barnett and conduct THE ULSTER ORCHESTRA in a sold-out concert called I Heart Nashville with Mandy Barnett. Nashville and Belfast are sister cities and this show was part of a cultural exchange.

Season 6 American Idol alum, Melinda Doolittle, performed several of Jim’s arrangements with THE BOSTON POPS, THE BUFFALO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, and THE OKLAHOMA CITY PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA.

Jim created orchestrations for a series of sold-out shows featuring The Mavericks and THE NASHVILLE SYMPHONY.

Jim then served as Orchestrator & Conductor for Ricky Skaggs & KY thunder’s performance with THE UTAH SYMPHONY at their Park City Summer Concert Series.

Jim also orchestrated 4 songs for country legend Toby Keith and wrote some additional charts for Toby’s Family Christmas Show with THE NASHVILLE SYMPHONY.

And in his 13th consecutive year, Jim arranged the annual The Christmas Show for THE OKLAHOMA CITY PHILHARMONIC, which featured Joel Levine conducting the orchestra and a cast of 16 singers and 16 dancers, in addition to other stage actors.

Finally, Jim also created several arrangements for the Christmas show of THE BUFFALO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA in Buffalo, NY.

FILM & TELEVISION

Jim contributed a variety of original compositions to the source music libraries of The License Lab and Human Music, including lullabies, Christmas cues, a gypsite-styled cue and some whimsical cues.

Jim also arranged a string quartet version of Israel Houghton’s “Secrets” for live performance on a TV show called The Real.

LIVE EVENTS

In February, Jim had his rhythm section performing with THE CHATTANOOGA SYMPHONY’s Big Band Fever annual swing dance show at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, TN.

The day after returning stateside from the Northern Ireland show with Mandy Barnett, Jim immediately went into rehearsals with his orchestra to prepare for a live performance at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater with country artist, Brantley Gilbert, for his “The Ones Like Me” tour. Jim created all the orchestrations for the show.

Jim also arranged Studio Tenn’s annual opening gala event, writing 13 charts for their artist accompanied by an 11-piece big band and a string orchestra.

Ohio Show Choir Shows

  1. Ada High School – Jim wrote for a show called 20-voice show choir and a 10-piece band to perform at Ohio competitions during the 2017-2018 school year.
  2. Kenton City Schools (Ohio) – Jim arranged for their show choirs for the 2017-2018 season
  3. Shaker Heights Show Choir – Jim also worked as their arranger for the 2017-2018 season.
